Council Election Results
Also at our April 20 meeting we held the annual election of members to the club's governing body, the Council. Our bylaws allow the Council to have from nine to twelve members, and the current Council had decided most recently to continue operating at the level of ten members. Incumbent members Anne Willemann, Christina Anderson, Jim McDonough and Peter Porton were reelected, by acclamation, to new three-year terms. Specific positions within the Council—president, treasurer, etc—will be chosen by the Council itself at our summer business meeting.
Fashion Show—November 10, 2009
Models at the November Fashion Show
The highlight of our November club meeting was the fashion show featuring PSC models and the latest styles from
Willi's Ski, Snowboard and Tennis Shop of Fairfax, VA.
Luke Kairys, the store manager, warmed us up with an overview of some great ski accessories, several of which he was
offering at reduced prices to PSC members. Then our models showed us a variety of fashions selected by Teresa Schrift, who also
scripted the narrative that was delivered so ably by our own Dick Fiske and Anne Willemann. Michelle Jennings sported a Blue Nils jacket with Fera pants;
Steve Peirce was in a Marker outfit and a Giro helmet; Marge Alia had a hot pink Marker jacket and Nils pants that were voted best fitting for the past 10 years;
Tim Tharp modeled a hot Volcom jacket, Nomis hoodie and Bonfire snowboarding pants; Pat Berry was in an amazing Oakley outfit; Frank Portell and Nina Litton were
both in luxurious Descente items; Linda Wilkinson modeled the latest Spyder outfit; while Peter Porton and Trudy Clark wore sleek Norwegian Kjus outfits. You can browse through the
