Announcements2007-2008 TripsOur 2007-08 ski season is "in the books." You'll find links to the trip reports and photo galleries on our Past Trips page. We still have space available on our summer non-skiing trip to Scandinavia. You can see the details on our Current Trips page. We're starting to work on next-winter's trips schedule and plan to have it available by about mid-June. We'll be ready to begin taking signups by then, as well as at our summer picnic (more below). We hope you had a great time this winter! Newsletter AvailableMarch/April 2008 Liftlline You should have gotten your printed black & white copy of the March/April 2008 Liftline newsletter in the mail by now, but you can see it here in glorious color by clicking on the link. Past newsletters can be found on the Newsletters page. If you normally get your Liftline here, in color, from our website, then perhaps you'd like us to
stop mailing you the printed copies. If that's the case, please send a quick e-mail to
Cheree Peirce to let her know.
Summer Summit Council Meeting - Sunday, May 18The next meeting of the club's council is scheduled for Sunday, May 18, 9am at Steve & Cheree Peirce's home in Brookeville, MD. Although we'll have other business to conduct, a primary focus will be the final selection of trips for next winter and the selection of tripleaders.
PSC Picnic - Saturday, July 19, 200812 noon until 5 pm The annual PSC summer picnic is the only club meeting between April and September. Eat great food and catch up with friends. Talk to Club officers. Bring photos from last winter's trips and share them or give them to Alden Hingle, Smug Mug coordinator, who'll get them up on the Smug Mug site. Find out who's going on next season's trips. Trip leaders will be available to answer questions. Get trail maps, hotel inforamtion, and trip prices. Bring your checkbooks and sign up for trips! The PSC provides hamburgers and hot dogs, but you're of course welcome to bring along something more exotic to throw on the grill. Everyone should bring a dish to share—beans, salads, desserts, chips and dips—with serving spoons. There will be a cash bar serving soft drinks, wine, and beer. Helmet Stickers AvailableThis past season our trip leaders offered their skiers vinyl stickers for placing on your helmet, skis, or other items to help enhance club identification and recognition on the slopes. The stickers have a removable adhesive that, although quite tenacious, should allow you to easily remove the stickers, say on a trip to Europe if you're wary of attracting unwanted attention. You might even be able to reuse them if you store them on something plastic or metal—perhaps on a credit card or something else you might find in your wallet or purse. If you failed to get one but want one now, you can get them from Dave Olsen by e-mail request, at the summer picnic, or at one of next-season's club meetings. We expect that trip leaders will also have them available on next-winter's trips. Note: If you're putting a sticker on your helmet, make sure that it won't be covered up by your goggles strap!
